In this work, the radioactivity in the gold bearing samples collected from the artisanal mining sites in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, Kaduna State have been determined, experimental measurements of 226 Ra, 232 Th and 40 K activities concentration in the gold bearing samples have been carried out using a NaI(Ti) gamma ray spectrometer.
